I have really enjoyed my Sunday playing in my stamp room. I got to play in the Dirty Dozen Challenge this morning and the Featured Stamper challenge this afternoon. The featured artist is KathyC and she has a lovely gallery to surf. Click here and here to see the two cards that I chose to CASE.
My first card is featuring a darling little Cat Angel from the Rubbernecker Fantasy collection. It looks so sweet and I'm sure is nothing like my rotten Siamese kitten. I loved the scalloped layer on Kathy's card and it was the perfect layout to use a small image and to create a mini scene. All watercoloring was done with Adirondack Dye reinkers.
I chose the second card of Kathy's because of the big open space layout to create a scene. I have just received a big bundle of the Laundry Days images from Rubbernecker. There are so many fun images and I could hardly wait to create a scene around some of them. Not only are the images wonderful but the sentiments are fun as well. I thought the sentiment I chose for this card was very appropriate as I have been going back and forth between stamping and the washing machine all afternoon. I used sponges, brushes, markers, artist pens and daubers to create this scene. I sketched out the trees and filled in the leaves with a small fern stamp. I added green ground with my sponges and brushes and filled in with the fern again to create texture. All the images were colored with Adirondack Dye inks and reinkers. What a fun scene to create. Now honestly....if I had to hang clothes on the line I would just have to kill myself but I sure did my share of it as a kid.
