Good morning everyone. I am sorry for my earlier post announcing the rescheduling of my card sale. One of my indoor cats got out yesterday evening and we have been frantic. I am supposed to be taking part in the Rubbernecker Kittie Kits Design Team blog hop today but I failed to get my project ready in time. Since I couldn’t sleep last night I finally got up and created this barn scene using the Farm Life set. If you follow this link to the hop you can check out what my team has created using Kittie Kits and also win a chance to receive a Kittie Kit of your choice.
I usually stamp my image with waterproof ink and watercolor but I changed it up a bit today. I stamped the barn with dark gray water based ink and colored the image using a stipple type motion with a dry brush. I gathered the ink on the brush by swiping it directly across the ink pad and then applied lightly to the image. I used the same technique to stipple in the ground area and sky.
I really did try to not to apply flowers to this and let the scene speak for itself but it was just a little too plain. I ended up adding a few punched branches and tiny 1/8” circle punched flowers to the border of the frame and really tiny 1/6” circle punched flowers to the base of the barn. If you click on the photos you can get a little closer view.
I hope you will go on over to the Rubbernecker Design Team blog and check out the Kittie Kits hop. You won’t want to miss seeing what the team has come up with to share with you or miss an opportunity to win a Kittie Kit.
