Card Sale: Come by and check out my card sale tomorrow. Her are a few of the cards available.
It’s Friday and almost the weekend. I am looking forward to it. I went a little gold crazy on my project today. I wanted to make a romantic card using my new Love Set from Rubbernecker. I wanted the heart and wispy floral flourishes to be elegant and gold embossing seemed the perfect thing.
As much as I love gold embossing it is not easy to photograph. The card is so much prettier in person. I started by stamping the image and embossing and then die cut with an oval Nestabilities. I die cut the scalloped layer and stamped versa directly on the cardstock and embossed with gold. I repeated the same technique on the gold base layer and on a scrap piece of cardstock to use for my punched flowers.
The image is so pretty on it’s own but I wanted to add flowers for dimension and elegance. One single layer of gold embossed flower was perfect. No need for additional layers. I put dots of gold stickles in the center of each flower for the final touch.
The white base layer was cut with decorative corner scissors and popped up with mounting tape. The scalloped layer was popped up with another layer of mounting tape which adds interest and dimension to the card.
Have a great weekend and take time to do something good for yourself. Thanks for stopping by.
