I opened the front door last night and found Toby on the porch. I was going out for my last walk around the yard to call for him before going to bed. He is a little freaked out and dirty but seems to be alright. As soon as I get over being happy to have him back home I’m going to kill him for scaring me to death. LOL! Thanks for all of your concern, sweet comments and support.
I made this project for the Splitcoaststampers Featured Stamper Challenge. Our featured artist was Kim aka Luv Flowers. Here is a link to Kim’s card that inspired my card.
I love making these floral sprays on my card fronts. I chose to use the coral pink for my flowers to match the little flowers in the designer paper. I used the soft blue cardstock for the foliage instead of green as I think it creates a much softer look.
I wanted to show the three different 5 petal blossoms that I used to make the flowers. Even though they are not matching flowers they vary enough in size that they work well being layered with each other.
The largest flower is distressed slightly less to create the base of the flower. I distress the second layer a little more and distress the smallest layer to create a tight flower center.
For these smaller flower petals I use a fairly small stylus. I go around the outside of each petal to curl them into themselves and then finish by pushing down in the center of the flwer.
I layer the flowers so the petals are offset from each each other to create a natural looking flower.

Please let Mr. Toby know we are glad he is home, but being a bad kitty scaring Mommy that way wasn't nice.

Oh Kittie I am so very happy that Toby came home.! I know the relief to your heart was tremendous! My cats are also indoor only. But Bob(cat) slipped out once and I didn't get him back for many days. I thought I had lost him forever. Oh yes and the card is beautiful & I love the retired SU paper you used. Bless you Kittie & your precious Toby& his siblings....

Glad to hear lil Toby is back in your arms. I'm sure you will hug him closer from now on. I remember when our Jasmine left for her adventure outside, our hearts were heavy for two days. Then came the post how your cat gotten out...been there done that. So I felt your distress. But it was great to read your post this morning that he had shown back up. Yipee!

Hey Kittie...I'm so happy for you & Toby that he is back home...sometimes they get a little wanderlust and just can't seem to control it, lol but he is back safe and sound. I had a male cat at one time that would do the same thing ... he loved to slip out the door when you least expected it and wouldn't come back for 2 or 3 days (and he was neutered, too). Your card is gorgeous, as always and I'm always so envious of your creative talent. Happy for you that Toby is safe and back in your arms.

your cards are just beautiful! I am the one who told you "the miracle dog" story. I am so glad prayers were answered. I know your mad at him for scaring you to death, but i think is was just as glad to see you as you were him. I was thinking he might of got accidently locked up in a garage or shed.
