I have fallen in love with the color wash flowers. It is such a simple technique yet adds so much to the appearance of the blossom. The softness of the flower color mixed with the soft embossed background color is a new favorite combination for me. You can check out the Belleek Inspired technique here and my step by step color wash flower tutorial here.
I inked up my brayer with Soft Sky ink and applied it to the embossing folder. I love the soft blue on the vanilla cardstock. I cut a frame using two different Nestabilities dies and attached it to the embossed background using mounting tape.
I punched several flowers, brushed each flower with water and then lightly touched the center of the flower with a brush filled with a touch of reinker. The color runs across the center of the flower and up the petals.
I attached the die cut foliage to the card base with Glossy Accents and then arranged the flowers. I added creamed colored half pearls to the center of each flower for a delicate finish.
I hope your week is going well. I want to thank you for checking in with my post and giving such sweet and supportive comments.
