The Free For All Challenge at Splitcoaststampers this week was True Blue Flowers. Our challenge was to create a project with lots of blue and blue flowers. Lately I have been enjoying using Stampin’ Up!’s Soft Sky ink on everything. Today I combined it with a Rubbernecker frame image and Vanilla and Soft Sky cardstock. Here is my True Blue card.
I stamped the frame image and then die cut out the oval double matted frame. I attached the frame over the dotted embossed background with mounting tape.
I punched several of each size of the three daisy punches, distressed and attached together with Glossy Accents. I thought the flower was a little small to be used as a single blossom on a card front so I cut the petals apart from two additional flowers and attached to the bottom of the flower alternating all the way around to extend it out a little larger.
I finished by creating a flower spray around the flower with foliage. I added a tiny pearl in the center of the flower to finish. I like the soft blue and vanilla with the boldness of the flower and fronds.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend and have lots of time for paper crafting.
