Good Tuesday morning. My project today was made for the Splitcoaststampers Clean and Simple Challenge to use White, Navy and Olive. I couldn’t resist creating another window card and using this fun BasicGrey pb&j designer paper for the awning. I really love navy and olive together and the white window, flower box and drapes seemed to pop off the solid navy background.
I attached the green pb&j coordinating wallpaper piece to the card base, layered the drapes over it and then assembled the awning and window, I attached the window over the drapes with mounting tape. The drapes were crimped and then cut with scalloped scissors. I think they look so realistic. Don’t look too close as I have them offset a little and one side is wider than the other. LOL!
I attached the flower box with a double layer of mounting tape so it would be extended out a little further than the window. I already had a piece of the grassland border sitting on my table so I decided to cut it and double layer it in the box to fill in the arrangement of foliage. I added the punched fern (I love that fern) and added the tiny navy flowers. I added white liquid pearl to the flower centers and surely wished I hadn’t. The navy flowers looked so dark and I thought the white would add but it turned into a sloppy mess. Oh well….live and learn. I knew before I started it that I shouldn’t do it but did it anyway. Can you relate??
I hope you have a great day. Thanks for stopping in today. I really appreciate it.
