Good Thursday morning. My project today was made using the Impression Obsession Sled, Large Window with Box and Border Duo 1. I have wanted to create a scene using the sled as a silhouette and thought it would be fun paired with a large window for the background. I like using all black and white when creating a silhouette card and then adding a pop of color like the red scarf.
I started by scoring the white section of the background to create the appearance of siding and attached to the base. I cut the window and used it as a template to draw lines for cutting the opening in the background. I cut the opening and attached the window with mounting tape. I cut and crimped the drapes and attached them on the inside of the window and then attached the whole window layer to the white card base with mounting tape. As you can see I got the window set a little crooked. I hat it when that happens. Check out my see thru window tutorial if you would like to see step by step photos of how I make my open window cards.
I cut the sled die in all black, cut off the scarf portion and attached the bright red ribbon for a pop of color and attached it to the window base with a double layer of mounting tape.
I don’t know if I have ever pointed out to you that I categorize my cards by company and by theme. You can find all of the categories on the right hand side of my blog home page. Click on any of them and it will take you to all the cards in that specific category. You click here to see all of my window cards. You can click here to see all of my Christmas cards.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great day.
