Good Sunday morning. My project today is a change of pace from my scene cards. I have been trying to figure out how to use this beautiful piece of cardstock from the A Christmas Story Collection by Webster’s Pages. As a matter of fact there are several gorgeous pieces of paper in this collection. I am not a scrapper and I don’t make 6” x 6” cards so I was left with the decision of cutting something beautiful off of one side or the other of the paper.
I finally decided that I loved the gorgeous font of the Happy Holidays and thought it would be a shame to lose the holiday message. My Fancy Rectangle frame covers a small portion of the sentiment but it is still easily read.
I thought the Vintage Ornament embossed in gold with the Cover-a-Card Music image was a perfect pairing with the paper and it fit perfectly inside the frame. I embossed the hanger and bow in gold to carry on the vintage feel.
I cut and applied thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame and attached it to the card base. I popped the ornament up with mounting tape and finished with an organza multi loop bow that heated slightly to add one more vintage touch to the project. I like how this turned out. It was a fast and easy card to make and would be perfect to mass produce for holiday cards.
I hope you have been enjoying your weekend and I appreciate you stopping by today.
