I don’t know about you but I have always had difficulty figuring out how to cut out a stamped image with the coordinating die and getting the lines to match up. Here are a few photos to show how I cut my stamped birds.
1. Cut out the birds to create a template. The dies also cut holes to be used to line up over the image.
2. Stamp the birds.
3. Lay the template over the bird image, line it up perfectly and trace the circles with a pencil.
4, Place the die over the image and line up the holes over your traced circles..
5. Tape the die in place with repositionable tape and cut out the birds. Hint….I use painter’s tape from the hardware store.
7. Color you image.
Seeing pictures are always more helpful for me to learn as I am so visual. I hope this short tutorial helps and gives you more confidence to try coordinating dies and images.
