Happy Saturday morning. I hope you are having a great weekend. I was lucky enough to have Friday off so I am enjoying a three day weekend. I had some fun stamping yesterday and have a couple of fun projects to share with you.
My first project was made for the Splitcoaststampers Free For All challenge to make a pocket card. I found a great tutorial in the SCS resource section on Flower Pot Pocket Card. It was really easy to make the card base and I had lots of fun adding my own punched paper flowers and foliage.
Here’s a shot to show the tag pulled out of the pocket. I attached a flower and foliage on the flower pot base to make it look pretty even when the tag was pulled out. I attached all the foliage and flowers to the tag while it was inserted in the pocket so it would be perfectly aligned with the flower and greenery on the pot.
Here a closer view so you can read the sweet sentiment. ”If I had a flower for every time I thought of you, I could walk in my garden forever”.
My second project was made using a Stampavie Sarah Kay image called How Sweet You Are. I had so much fun creating the punched flower and tree garden scene around this adorable little girl holding her chick. I stamped the image on watercolor paper, painted with reinkers and cut out. I created the grass bass with a Martha Stewart border punch and then crimped it to give it a little texture. I love red and olive green together so I loaded the garden full of tiny red flowers. The tree was created by crimping a piece of caramel cardstock and then rubbing a brown ink pad directly onto the paper and inking up the high crimped ridges. The top was created with punched foliage. I popped the girl up on mounting tape for another layer of dimension. I love how this turned out.

Have a wonderful weekend and be sure to get your fingers inky.

"DITTO'..I love both of these. In the past I really didn't care for the "cuitzzzzzes" (as I called them) kids...your cards are so glorious I think I might try a few of the kids once we settle in Oregon.
Have a great Mother's day Kittie.
