Recently I have been in love with dies. Started small but through your blog site I am slowly increasing with every larger dies. You really know how to inspire me with your delicate flowers and arrangements. I hope to win but if not, I will still enjoy your website daily. Thanks.

This is my last week to serve as a guest designer for the Color Throwdown challenge. I have had such a good time. The colors this week are Crumb Cake, Poppy Parade, Very Vanilla and Soft Sky.
I love creating scenes and have gone deer and butterfly crazy lately. I decided to make Soft Sky the main color for the frame and the sky to create a soft palette for the other colors. I had to add a soft green for foliage to accompany the deer, tree and the bright butterflies.
I cut the double matted frame using Spellbinder Oval dies. I cut two pieces of the Poppy Stamps Grassland Border attaching one to the base behind the deer and one in front of them. I mounted the frame over the scene using mounting tape.
I cut the tree using green cardstock and colored the tree trunk and branches using a Tea Dye Distress Marker. I attached the tree in behind the grass allowing the branches to extend out of the framed opening. I tucked sprigs of the Martha Stewart Branch Punch along the border of the frame to soften the scene and added tiny 1/8” punched red circles formed into flowers with a tiny pointed stylus and mat. I used the Memory Box Butterfly Delights to cut red butterflies to place around the scene for added dimension and color. You can click on the photos to get a closer view.
Maybe I can make myself wait until fall to use the deer again until it’s time to create a lovely snowy Christmas scene around them. Well….maybe!
Thanks again for stopping in to see my post today. I really appreciate all of your wonderful comments and support.
What a lovely card.
Congratulations to Carol Ann Ater on the win

Hi Kitty,
I discovered your site a few weeks ago when I was looking to buy some of the Memory Box dies. Your work is just amazing - it seems like hours of work go into each one so whoever receives them are very lucky. Do you by chance do video tutorials? I would love to see how you go about creating these works of art. Anyway, thanks again for sharing your wonderful work and I'm so happy to have found your site.
