Good morning. I have a fun project to share with you today that I made for the Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge to use Certainly Celery, Soft Suede and Blushing Bride.
I decided to create a soft scene with an old rusty truck carrying loads of pots filled with pink flowers. I love painting the truck from the Rubbernecker Kittie Kits Fall Harvest.
The truck is so fun to color and then add rust. I stamped the truck on watercolor paper, painted with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink, added touches of More Mustard to age with rust and cut out and cutting off the wheels. I stamped the truck a second time on scrap paper, painted just the wheels, and cut out. I layered the fully painted truck over the painted wheels to add a touch of dimension.
I cut a slit in the bed of the truck so I could slide flower pots down in the bed and then filled them with green foliage and tiny pink flowers. I cut the flowers using a 1/8” circle punch and formed them with the smallest stylus I have. I cut out several pots, painted with the Brushed Corduroy and filled them with flowers.
I stamped the tree on plain white cardstock, painted the tree trunk and lightly sponged in the sky and ground area. I used the mini fern stamp from my Kittie Kits Outdoor Master to fill in the tree top and then sponged over it to add color. I attached the truck to the scene layer and finished by added the pots of flowers to the ground area by the truck.
Thanks for stopping by.

Another fabulous card. I would never have thought to buy a truck stamp - but now I've changed my mind. What a great idea - and sitting those pots in the back - just great.
Thanks again for another great card with great ideas.
