I have another window scene to share with you today. When I first saw the Memory Box Small Canning Jar I knew I had to have it. I can think of lots of other fun ways to use this die and now I know I have to order the Tall Canning Jar, too.
I created the siding all for the cover base of the card, cut a hole the size of the window using my craft knife and then layered the designer paper on the inside of the card mounting with mounting tape. I covered the back side of the designer paper with plain white cardstock. I punched the blind with an eyelet border, crimped it and then mounted on the front side of the window opening.
I die cut the two canning jars out of transparency, cut one down to be a little small and attached canning lids cut out of copper cardstock. I used a blue alcohol marker to color the water line on the bottles, hand cut flower stems to fit in the bottles and attached then with glossy accents. I die cut tiny flower, formed with a stylus and attached to the top of the flower stems. I attached the jars to the backside of the die cut window and attached over the opening with mounting tape. We had lots of canning jars around my home growing up. My parents always grew large gardens and canning was a summer activity. I love the country feel to the window.
I can visualize using the canning jar dies for lots of fun holiday projects as well. I hope you have a great Wednesday and thanks for looking in today.

Super sweet window w/the canning jars full of tiny flowers. Great-looking "wallpaper" and shade, too. I so appreciate all the thought and planning that goes into your beautiful cards. I LOVE them down to the tiniest details. I "study" your cards more than anyone else's that I view. TFS your talent and making me smile. :)

Beautiful. I found this while searching how to make siding out of paper. I wish you would have explained or showed how you created the siding though.
