Good Friday morning. Are you ready for the weekend? I sure am. I’ve had this card base with the designer paper and Impression Obsession Border Duo 2 laying on my work table for a while from a project that I didn’t complete. I decided to stick something on it since it was such a pretty combination of colors and pattern. I thought the Poppystamps Blooming Poinsettia and Impression Obsession Pine Branch would be just the perfect thing.
I die cut two of the largest petals and one of the two smaller ones to create the poinsettia. I also cut one green large petal to use for the leaves. I like that better than the leaf die that comes with the set. I cut the pine and lightly sponged brown ink on the branch area to add a more natural look. I formed the petals and pine branches with a stylus and mat. You can check out my poinsettia tutorial if you would like to see step by step photos of how I form the petals.
Take some time to get your fingers inky and have a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by.
