Good Sunday morning and happy anniversary to me. Today I am celebrating two blogging milestones. My article today is blog post number 1,000 and My Very First Blog Post ever was published five years ago on November 9 2007. It is amazing to look back on my original posts and to browse through the years to see all the twists and turns my stamping style has taken.
To celebrate I am offering several nice items for blog candy.
Letraset Aqua Markers Set 1 and 2, Memory Box Ornament Border Die and retired unmounted 2007 Stamping” Up! Keep Christmas stamp set.
All you have to do to qualify for my gift is leave a comment telling me how long you have been blogging and or paper crafting. You will have until 5:00 pm on Wednesday, November 14th to leave respond.
I love making flower cards and especially poinsettia Christmas cards during the holidays. For this project I paired the Poppystamps Blooming Poinsettia and Grand Madison Arched Window.
I created my poinsettias by using only the smallest flower die section. I wanted them to be small enough to arrange on the arched window. Check out my Poinsettia Tutorial for step by step photos of how I form my flowers.
I attached the window to the card base with mounting tape to add dimension. I applied the poinsettias with glossy accents. Adding the pine branches around the poinsettias created a touch of softness to the arrangement. Here are a couple close up pictures to give a closer view of how the flowers and foliage was arranged.
I thought the poinsettia and window was perfect layered over the Tina Wenke poinsettia paper.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful Sunday.
Paper: Tina Wenke Holiday Card Making Paper, White, Olive, Red Accessories: Poppystamps Blooming Poinsettia, Grand Madison Arched Window, Martha Stewart Branch Punch, Mounting Tape, Glossy Accents, ATG, Big Shot, Stylus, Mat,
Ik heb zelf geen blog maar ik maak al een 12 jaren kaartjes. Blogs volgen doe ik sinds een jaar of 2. Succes iedereen en Kittie, bedankt voor deze kans !

Hi Kittie,
I have been paper crafting for about 5 years now. It all started when a friend of mine took me to a scrapbooking get together. It wasn't a party that sold items, so I said I would go. I now make all our cards for every occasion. I found your blog on Pinterest and have been visiting every day for the last 2 months. I love all of your projects. Some have inspired my Christmas cards this year. Thank you so much for blogging and sharing all of your projects with us.
Most sincerely,
Kathleen

Thanks to a dear friend who introduced me to papercrafting in 2006, I have enjoyed making cards and scrapbooks since. That same friend demonstrated your wonderful flower techniques at a gathering for stampers and I was hooked immediately. Thanks so much for your continued inspiration and wonderful information. My holiday cards this year will feature "Blake the Flake", thanks to you!

Congratulations on #1,000. I have been paper crafting for almost 10 years and got into cards about 5 years ago. I also started a blog months ago but wasn't able to finish due to some health problems. I'm slowly but surely trying to get it up and running. I was always worried that if I didn't post something every day or even every other day that I wouldn't have any followers that would stay with me but I finally realized that it's about the quality not the quantity. I think if I make items that people like and get inspiration from that even if I was only able to post something 1 or 2 times a week that it would be better than posting something 5-7 days a week with nothing worth really posting. I am amazed at how you can post such beautiful projects so frequently. We are all lucky that you are so prolific as well as so inspirational!! I can't thank you enough for all of your tutorials. I was just talking with a friend yesterday about you and all of your beautiful cards. We are so amazed at how you form each individual flower and when put together they are works of art. We also talked about our ever growing list of "must haves" we have discovered from your site. Those companies must love you! Thanks again for everything. We are truly lucky to have artists like you that are willing to give so freely of yourself. I look forward to the next 1,000 posts!!

Congratulations!!! You have such beautiful cards! I love the way you create your wreaths and swags!! I started paper crafting when my oldest step daughter was 4! I am feeling very old, since she just turned 20 - where has the time gone? I am addicted to paper and find that I am collecting paper and dies (memory box are awesome) in the hopes that someday I'll be able to stop going into the office and be able to focus on my crafting (I can always dream about winning the lottery - lol)... I figure I have a few more years, since our youngest is 10, but getting there :-) I have been blogging since 2006... It is funny, because when my son was younger I had more time, right now we are in the "many after school and weekend activities" years, so not so much time but building lots of memories.
Here is wishing you many more years of paper crafting!
Hugs,
antonella :-)

I don't have a blog and I have no idea how to start one but that is my New Year's resolution. It will probably take me a year to get it done. I have been paper crafting for about three years and I absolutely love it. I am retired so I can play when I want. You are an amazing artist. I would have loved to seen some of your floral arrangements when you were working with your Mom in the flower shop.

I'm a stamper and I first started when I went to a local holiday show - there was a booth with stamps and embossing powders! And those ladies were stamping and heat embossing using an iron - how far we have come!!! I've been stamping since then, making cards and other little fun projects. I've done a little scrapbooking too! Happy Anniversary!!

Hi, Kittie,
Wow, 1000 blog posts! That's amazing to someone like me who doesn't blog at all (and with my typing skills, that's a good thing).
I've been making cards for just about a year now, and you have been a true inspiration. Thank you so much for sharing all your gorgeous creations and the tutorials to help the rest of us learn to create beautiful things to share with others.
Congratulations and happy anniversary - I hope there are many, many more!

Hi Kittie!
I've enjoyed playing with paper for years, but really went off the deep end when I received a Big Shot for Christmas last year! Your amazing cards have been a real inspiration and challenge..also have to thank you for introducing the magic box idea. Have made several and also taught my 9 and 12 year old grandkids how. They loved it!
Congrats on your milestones.

Gorgeous card Kittie! Congratulations on your blogaverary!! I've been cardmaking since my boys were little (my youngest turns 21 later this month!) Needless to say the range and type of products available today is astonishing. I remember a long time ago being soo excited to try embossing with powder for the first time, it was like magic!! I am a blog newbie and haven't really had the time to venture into posting things at this stage. Thankyou for your continued inspirational posts, your work is truly beautiful :)

Happy Anniversary! January will mark 6 years of cardmaking for me. I found you early on on SCS and have always been intrigued by your snow scenes and SU pickup truck. And now I've watched as you've evolved to flower making on your cards. Pictures of your stamp room were some of the first ones I ever saw and was surprised that people actually had entire rooms just for cardmaking! You've cost me a fortune over the years in supplies trying to recreate your style!! I never could master the scenes but my flower cards are passable! When you started blogging I was thrilled that an entire site was going to be dedicated to your creations! I rarely miss a day checking out what you've posted.

I don't have a blog (just trying to download a picture is challenge enough for me) however, your blog is the first one I check every morning. All of your cards are so inspiring - and at times a "hit" to the pocket book - because I just have to have whatever die/product you are using that particular day. lol Please keep up the good work and here's to at least another 1,000 blogs.

I have been making greeting cards for ever using my computer. My favorite things are Christmas time and Flowers and one day I was looking for a greeting card with flowers and I found your tutorial for hydrangeas and poinsettias and I fell in love. My computer's cards were pretty but not 3D. Immediately I went to the website to buy the poinsettia die (that is my favorite) and since that time I have been buying like crazy all the dies I like to make flowers and other shapes. You are my favorite card designer and everyday the first thing I do when I turn on my computer is to look for your email with the new post for the day. I don't have a blog. My husband says that I am a Kittie's copycat with just littler difference.

Hi Kitty,
I have been crafty for 12 years now because it gives me the creativity to make cards!
I love making cards and was looking for way to enter challenges so I started my blog Nov. 10, 2010. I only have 325 posts so I have ways to go for 1000. Congratulations on that milestone !
Then I decided I wanted to get on Design Teams so now I have more reasons to show my cards.

Congratulations on your two milestones. I've been following you for about 4 months and have also enjoyed going back to long ago posts by you. You have been tremendous inspiration. You can tell by how much money I have spent on dies and adding your link on my blog when I have CASED you...haha I started my blog on New Year's day three years ago after seeing the movie Julie and Julia. My goal was to make one svg a week and give away. I met my goal and actually did 3 svgs a week and gave away my first year. Thank you for all the inspiration and helping keep me busy in one of my favorite "happy places", my craft room.

I am also so happy to have one of your own cards signed by you I keep close by in my craft room.

I have been paper crafting for hmmmm... I keep thinking back about 20 years! Oh my! I am kind of sporadic depending on how busy I am with other things. I have had a blog since 2008 but do not keep it up. Thanks for sharing your fantastic work with all of us.

Hi Kittie,
I have been papercrafting and cardmaking for about 9 years; saw a project in a magazine and wanted to make it and the rest is history. I absolutely love your website and have told so many people about it and the all say the same thing, "AMAZING!"
I appreciate the time and effort you put in each one of your projects, including the very informative videos, and love the fact that you picture all of the items you have used, and by clicking on them, I am taking to the website to purchase! You have cost me a lot of money!!!!

Congrats and Happy Anniversary. I have been paper crafting for 12 years and remember seeing your creations on splitcoaststampers and always looking for your name to see if you uploaded a new card :). I was a fan already then.
I do not blog, but admire all of you talented ladies that do.

I have been a card maker since 2000. I have learned a lot over the years, especially from your blog. You inspire so many of us with your talent and help me strive to create a card that when recevied will make someone happy. It is a special feeling when someone tells you how much they apprciate your cards or that they have kept every card you have sent them. That makes me happy! I hope all of us card makers can put a smile on peoples faces and make this a better world.

I've often thought about blogging, but haven't taken the time to get started. I'm a busy mom who can barely get in my craft room to make a few cards and follow a few other very creative bloggers. I am inspired though and maybe one day I'll take the leap! Your blog is great! I've been paper crafting since I can remember--very therapeutic for me.

First Kitty, I must complement you on another gorgeous card. You just keep making one more beautiful than the next. Your poinsettia's are just lovely on that background. Christmas will soon be in the air!
I started my blog a year and a half ago. I saw so many beutiful blogs, cards and stamping ideas that I got on blogger and read how to make my own blog. I then was pleased with my outcome and uploaded it to the Internet. I've been having fun ever since.
My sweet daughter got me started stamping in 2007. It's fun making new friends via the Internet who have the same interests. I've acquried a few new friends this way. Thanks for asking...
Hugs and blessings...Leanne

This arched window card is just gorgeous. It's minutes b/f I move on from one of your cards. I remember, long ago you giving me advice on using liquid applique.
I don't blog - GASP! - but I do follow your blog. You have amazing, easy to follow tutorials. I've been a fan of yours since I started stamping in '05.
Congratulations on 1000 posts! That's quite an accomplishment.
Thanks for all you do.

Hi Kittie,
My darling daughter Jayne enticed me into making cards and i have never regretted it as when you get done you look at the card and say to your self , "Did I really make this card?" I love creating thngs with my hands that God ,
gave us and it is like playing a piano or organ {which I do at our church for 63 years } you make melodious music and people really enjoy it. I play by ear not notes. But I've made cards now for maybe 8-9 years. Nothing like you though yours are FANTASTIC!! I am 78 years young and love this kind of working with my hands. Mary

For some reason I did not get this email and missed this beautiful card. I have always done some sort of crafting. I started making cards in 1996 when I got a computer and a card program. Didn't get a cricut until 2008 and now I have learned to use dies from you. (thank you) I started my blog in 2009. You are what I aspire to. I look forward to your posts every day.

Happy Anniversary. I've been paper crafting with a computer for over 15 years now...the first computer card I made were invitations for my folks 50th and they just celebrated their 66th in Sept.
My friend and I share a blog. We posted our first image on Feb. 17, 2008, so we are coming up on our 5th anniversary this Feb. Its a modge podge of things we love, photography, cards, scrapbook pages, recipes.
Your cards inspire me to do more with mine. I love seeing what you've created.

I am so happy to have found your blog a little while ago. Your cards are so beautiful!!! There are so many dies you use that I want/need...so I keep a list! I have been scrapping for about 20 yrs and card making for 12. I got started as a way to use up the scraps of paper I tend to hang on to and not want to throw away. Now I have spoiled my friends, family and co-workers. No one wants a store bought card any more...but I don't mind. I find making cards very relaxing and I don't care if it takes me 10 min or 3 hours to make a card. thank you for the opportunity to win!

I started blogging a little over 4 years ago Scraps of Life. I love visiting your blog and drooling, er, I mean admiring all of your beautiful creations!! Thanks again for this opportunity!
