Good Friday morning. I am so happy it is Friday and I am ready for the weekend. I have a fun snowman scene to share with you today. He really does look like he is ready for Christmas doesn’t he!!
The snowman is one of the new Sizzix dies and I think he is absolutely precious. I was thinking this evening about how many times I have painted snowmen images, cut them out and paper pieced them to create something fun and dimensional. Dies have really brought us a very long way in crafting. Not that I don’t still love to watercolor but hey…..quick cards are really important as we get ready for the holidays.
I paired the snowman with crimped Impression Obsession Christmas Tree and one of my home made mini wreaths and layered the whole scene over one of the embossing folders from the Snow and Tree set.
The ground snow layer was crimped with the wave crimper and mounted to the base of the card with mounting tape. I tucked the snowman bottom in behind the snow layer and attached him with mounting tape. The tree was layered over the snowman and attached with mounting tape as well.
I added tiny sprigs of pine and flowers to the top hat and scarf for the perfect finishing touch.
You can check out my step by step wreath and mini wreath tutorial if you would like to know how I made my wreath. Scroll down to see mini wreath version.
Enjoy your day and have a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by.

Love this and your tutorial is wonderful....I had made a comment previously that you could be a florist and then I happened to read your bio....duh!!! Anyway, your tutorial helped me immensely as I never seem to get my wreaths looking right. Thanks for the instructional help.

I love snowmen and this card is sooo cute! Neat embossed bkgrd and I love all the details down to the red rhinestones on his hat! :)

Ooops. I just realized after looking just one more time ... those might not be rhinestones on his hat. They might be your teeny, tiny, sweet flowers. :)
