Good Sunday morning. My project today is a jump into summer with a sneak peek of one of the soon to be released Memory Box dies called Lavish Branch. This is going to be one of my new favorite floral go to dies.
I know I have said this before but I love the wonderful contrast of red and green against an all white background. It is so crisp and appealing to my eye. I also love creating interest and dimension with an object like the popped up fence even though the white blends in with the stark white background.
I started by adhering the fresh cut grass to the fence front and then attaching to the card base with mounting tape. I cut up sections of the Lavish Branch to create the flowers growing along the fence, attached the tiny red flowers with glossy accents and tucked the sections in behind the grass and attached in place with glossy accents. I used tiny rolled glue dots behind one of the flower heads on each section to hold upright against the fence..
I cut another section of the branch and colored in the branch portion with a brown marker to make it look like a tree branch. I formed the leaves with a stylus to create more natural leaves. note….if forgot to form the leaves along the fence….LOL! I attached the little red flowers to the branch and then applied rolled glue dots behind each of them to hold in place on the card base. I used a dot of glossy accents to attach the beginning of the branch. The birdie was the final element to complete this clean and simple little summer scene.
I have a few more days off before I have to go back to work and I have been enjoying myself so much. I sure hope you have a wonderful New Year’s holiday weekend. Thanks for coming by today.

Great card and I agree about the use of red and green against the white. Red is one of my go to colors.
Happy New Year!
