Good Monday morning. I have a clean and simple card to share with you today. It is no secret that I love making paper flowers. When I saw the new Memory Box Lovely Aster die set I knew I had to have it. The flower is large and perfect to be the main focus of a simple card.
I formed the individual flower petals using my stylus and mat. There are four graduated flower sizes and I cut two if each to create a full looking flower. I curled the petals more open on the largest ones and curled each layer more tightly as they graduated down in size because I wanted to make the aster look as natural as possible.
I attached the two largest flowers together using glossy accents and offset them so the petals wouldn’t be right over top of each other. To add dimension and separate the lower layers I attached one of the next largest flowers on over the base flowers using a piece of mounting tape and then attached the second one with glossy accents. The remaining flowers were attached using glossy accents. I added one little flower from the flower mound die right in the very center to give a more complete look. The leaves were lightly formed with the stylus.
I punched the eyelet border and attached the simple ribbon for added interest and contrast against the all white background. The flower and leaves were attached over the ribbon with glossy accents. I added large rolled glue dots under each leaf to hold them out away from the card base.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a great week.

I love your CAS card and the aster is beautiful. I like the shape of the leaf that goes with the flower, too. My wish list just keeps growing and growing. LOL
