Good Saturday morning. When I saw the new Memory Box release at Ellen Hutson I knew my debit card was going to be in trouble. LOL! I loved the Grand Oak Tree and Set of Swings and couldn’t wait to get them in my hands.
I cut the tree out kraft paper and colored it with distress markers. I used shabby shutters and peeled paint for the leaves and antique linen and vintage photo for the tree trunk and limbs. I cut and colored the swing and attached to the back of the tree limb using glossy accents. I used rolled glue dots in several places on the back of the tree to attach to the clouds on the card base so it would stand free for dimension. The bottom trunk of the tree was attached flat to the base so I could pop the grass and fence in front of it.
I attached the fence sections with mounting tape and hand cut a grassy section to pop up in front of the tree and fence. I cut sections of the leafy branch and attached tiny flowers from the flower mound and tucked in behind the fence. I put two little red birds up in the tree to add a little more color and interest in the top of the scene.
Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping
