Good Thursday morning. Welcome to the Impression Obsession design team challenge. Our challenge today is to make anything of our choice. I love using frames to highlight a sentiment and adding some type of floral or foliage embellishment.
For my project today I used the Precious Treasure sentiment, Shaker Circle Frames, Branch Die, Butterflies and the pine sprig from the Twig Wreath.
I know I’ve said this many times but I love the contrast of red and olive green with white. I used a simple green patterned paper and red trim for the base. I created a double matted frame and attached to the circle frame to create a triple matting for the sentiment. I mounted the frame over the sentiment and then mounted to the base with mounting tape.
I cut two sets of branches, scored them on a mat lightly with my stylus and attached them to the frame with glossy accents. I cut two butterflies layering one over the other, attached them with glossy accents, popped up the wings with rolled up glue dots and attached them over the foliage with glossy accents. I added pine sprigs and tiny white flowers to soften the arrangement.
Why don’t you come along and play with us. To enter the challenge go to the Impression Obsession blog (all the details are there!). A random challenge card will be selected to showcase on the IO blog AND you can to enter to win a $25 gift certificate to IO just by playing!
Thanks for coming by today. I hope you will go check out what the other IO teams members created for the challenge.

Love how you matted the die-cuts around the sentiment (that pop of green between 2 red layers) and the Branch and Pine twigs die-cuts are amazing.

This card is so striking Kittie, the colors work so well together. I am now wondering why I didn't get that die when I saw it in my local craft store, I hope they still have it! lol.

Good afternoon, Kittie, love your shaker card, and the bright colors of red and green. the leaves and butterfly on the front adds a warm touch to the bright colors. And just a touch of white with the tiny flowers, brings it all together...LOL.....have a good day.
