Good Tuesday morning. I have a guy card to share with you today. I love the new Magnificent Pine die and thought it would be perfect to pair with the Deer Trio and Grassland Border.
I started by lightly sponging in clouds on the base of the card with a hand cut cloud template and my ink blending tool. I started with blue paper but wanted to add some depth to the background. I cut the three trees and sponged them with green and brown to give them a natural look.
I attached rolled glue dots to the back of the trees at each branch section and attached them to the card base. I cut the grass borders making them three different heights and attached them to the scene. The front border was mounted with mounting tape for dimension.
I cut the deer, sponged it with brown ink and tucked it in behind the grasses. I couldn’t resist adding a few tiny white flowers and yellow butterflies to soften the scene even though it is a guy card.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Oh I wish it were Spring already! These trees remind me of Alaska 'grinch trees' and will therefore buy the die!! Lovely card - so great to see butterflies and blooms even though I know they are many months away. Thanks for sharing!

I saw this tree die for the first time while I was window shopping recently and I rather liked the look of it but it really does look absolutely magnificent inked up on your project Kittie. Thank you for the tutorial on the rolled glue dots too. A very clever idea with brilliant results.
Hugs, Lesley

Thanks so much for the guy card. I have a wonderful brother and several nephews who enjoy the outdoors. I've loved what you have done with the deer trio on this and several other cards so much so that I've got it on my wish list.

What a fabulous die. As always you used it beautifully. Beautiful, I mean handsome, card.

I really struggle making masculine cards and so appreciate the inspiration for a guy card. My hubby of 42 years is the hardest person for whom I make cards. Sometimes I start out okay, but before I know it, I've added too much froo froo and it looks too girly for him. LOL
Love the new dies....that tree could be used all year long, too. I love multi-use dies and stamps.
