Good Tuesday morning. Do you loved playing with rolled flowers? I sure do! I had lots of fun using the new Impression Obsession Spiral Flowers to create the tiny rolled roses for my basket project. Easter baskets don’t always have to be filled with eggs and candy.
I started by stamping the basket on white cardstock using vintage photo distress ink. I placed the basket die over the image, secured with a couple pieces of painter’s tape and cut out. The stamped basket lines and the embossed lines from the die matched up perfectly. I wanted to create an old-fashioned basket so I painted it with a brush and vintage photo reinker mixed with water. I let the basket dry while I created a double matted frame and mounted it to the white card base.
I cut several pieces of the leafy branch and several of the spiral flowers in different colors. I designed the foliage in the basket and attached to the back side with glossy accents. I rolled the flowers using my needle nose pliers and attached in the foliage in the foliage with glossy accents. I finished punching out several 1/8” circles, forming them with my fine point stylus and attaching around the arrangement for an additional touch of color.
I attached a multi loop bow and then tucked the basket into the frame opening and attached with mounting tape. I attached the sentiment on the card base with mounting tape and applied tiny pieces of foliage and buds for a finishing touch.
