Good Tuesday morning. I have been in a scene making mood lately so you may see another one or two coming up this week. My scene today was made using my new My Favorite Things Lattice Fence and paired it with the Memory Box Grand Oak Tree.
I cut the tree using olive cardstock, colored the trunk and limbs with a brown marker and attached to the card base with rolled glue dots. I cut the fence and attached mounting tape to the back and mounted to the card base in front of the tree.
I added a thin strip of mounting tape to the bottom of the card base and attached the grass die. I cut two leafy branch 2 and cut into small sections to use a flower stems. I punched lots of tiny 1/8th inch circles, formed with my tiny stylus and attached to the stems with glossy accents. I attached the flower stems along the border of the fence with glossy accents.
I added the clouds in the background (an afterthought) and attached with rolled glue dots. I finished by adding three small pink butterflies to add one more touch of pink to the scene and draw the eye up to the tree and clouds. I love the new fence and how crisp it looks against the blue background and olive green.
Check out my blog candy offer if you haven’t already left a comment for a chance to win the Memory Box Jolly Bumblebees and Bee Skep.
