Good Thursday morning. My project today was made using the new Memory Box Summer Kites paired with the Grand Oak Tree , Puffy Clouds and Picket Fence. When I saw the kites I thought of designing them either flying above the tree tops or over an ocean view.
I cut the tree using white paper, colored with copic markers and cut off the bottom portion. I attached the clouds in the sky using mounting tape and then attached the tree trunk flat to the card base and attached the branches to the clouds using rolled up glue dots. I cut off a portion of the fence and attached to the base. I used only the top of the tree and fence to show off for my sky high kite scene.
I cut the kites in three colors of cardstock and with matching designer paper. I cut the tails off the designer paper kites and attached over the kite bases with glossy accents. I finished by attaching them in the sky with mounting tape.
I appreciate you stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day.

It may sound silly, but I love kites. I flew kites as a kid, a lot at the beach, still while at college, but haven't these past two years...need to get my kite out....beautiful, light, uplifting card!

I can feel the breeze in this scene! You've turned the kites in different directions which creates the illusion of a blustery day!!! Thank you for the inspiration Kittie!

Oh, I love your card with the tree and kites! A wonderful spring activity. The kite in the tree made me think of Charlie Brown. So cute to have one tucked into the branches.
Thanks for sharing! :)
