Good Wednesday morning. I have another project Susan Tierney Cockburn to share with you today using her new Dogwood die set. I couldn’t resist trying my hand at pink. I Googled pink dogwood photos and found this gorgeous piece by Sharon Way-Howard for inspiration and as a guide.
Here’s what I came up with.
I sponged the petals using a small wood sponge dauber with spun sugar and worn lipstick distress ink and a touch of barely banana yellow ink. I used the worn lipstick distress marker to add darker color to the indented edges of the petals. I formed and assembled the flowers and leaves following the video instructions found here. Be sure and scroll down.
I added the green paper pen to the tips of the flower center.
I arranged the flowers and leaves on the white oval frame and attached with glossy accents. I thought the flowers and foliage would really pop against the white. I created the bow loops and tail and attached under the flower using glue dots.
You will want to go to Ellen’s and check out the Susan’s other die sets and videos. Click here if you would like to see some of my other floral projects made using Susan’s mini daisy and mini petals sets.

Beautiful. I've ordered one of the dies to try my luck at making flowers. Hope they turn out as good as yours and Susan's. Edna
