Good Tuesday morning. I hope you enjoyed your holiday weekend. I sure did. I had lots of fun creating in my craft room. I want to share a project using the tulip that I showed you yesterday. I have added a couple more and arranged them in Susan Tierney Cockburn’s new Wheelbarrow. This was fun for me and took me back to working in the flower shop with my mother. She would have loved this.
I cut the wheelbarrow using Essentials by Ellen Craft-a-Board. I assembled it using ATG adhesive. It was very easy and fast to put together.
I painted the whole wheelbarrow with vintage photo crackle paint. I used a dark brown Copic Marker to add a little more depth to the wood appearance. The front wheel was embossed with copper embossing powder and was attached to the wheelbarrow with copper brads.
I attached a thin piece of green floral styrofoam with my hot glue gun to create a base to hold the tulips up a little higher in the bed of the wheelbarrow. I cut several pieces of large foliage, formed it with my large stylus from the accessory tool kit and hot glued them to the styrofoam. I hot glued the three tulips in place and then added several smaller pieces of foliage to soften the arrangement. I love how this turned out. It would make a great gift for a gardener or flower lover. You can see the tutorial I posted yesterday if you would like to see how I made my tulips.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day. Just think only four work days this week. Woo Hoo!

That wheelbarrow looks like it's made from "real" wood.

Love the wheelbarrel and agree, it does look like real wood! The tulips are just stunning--we just need to get the Pollen out to add the final detail to your stamens. XOXO
