Good Saturday morning. How many times have you ordered something twice by mistake? I really don’t do it very often but when I do I slap myself on the forehead with a big DUH! My mistake is going to make one of you very happy. I mistakenly ordered two Spellbinders Grand Rectangles sets this past week and instead of sending one back I am offering it as blog candy as a thank you for all of the wonderful support you show me week after week.
All you have to do to qualify to win is leave a comment on this post telling me which of Susan Tierney Cockburn ’s flower dies are your favorite. You will have until 5:00 PM EST on Friday, July 26th to leave your comment.
Speaking of Susan Tierney Cockburn’s flower dies, I have another flower to share with you today made using the Black-Eyed Susan die. I paired it with soft sky blue paper and a piece of the Sun Kiss Collection designer paper. I wanted the flower to be the main focal point and added other elements for added dimension and interest.
I started by cut and assembling the flower following Susan’s wonderful video tutorial. I used Susan’s Garden Pan Pastel to coloring the flower petals and leaves.
I cut the Poppystamps Grand Madison Window and Picket Fence in blue and attached to the card base using mounting tape. I cut the Fresh Cut Grass and added to the fence. I cut the Memory Box Butterfly Delights, colored them lightly with Pan Pastel and added markings using my vintage photo distress marker. I attached the flower and leaves using glossy accents and added the butterflies for the perfect finishing touch.
Here is a closer view of the flower. I think it looks so real. And it is so easy to make.
Here is a side view to show the dimension of the flower.
Thank you for stopping by. Please remember to leave a comment on this post to qualify for the Spellbinders Grand Rectangles set blog candy. I will announce the winner next Saturday morning, July 27th.

Kittie you make the most beautiful cards. I like all of Susan's dies but I guess my favorite would be the dogwood. Second would be the pansy. Thank you.

Your use of all the flowers is great. I think I like the pansy die since that is my favorite flower. Thanks for blog candy offer.

Hi Kittie,
Your card is beautiful as usual. I look forward to seeing what you create each week. My favorite die so far is the dogwood. It looks very realistic and the smaller size makes it easier to incorporate into cards.

Beautiful card....I have been wanting this die, and after seeing it in use, now I really want it!! I honestly can't decide which is my favorite, but maybe the Rose...I think I have 4 dies so far, and love the poppy too, I made it out of red crepe paper and it looked so real...anywho, I am loving seeing the flowers you make!!

Picking a favorite is almost impossible. Each time I see a new one my favorite changes, but have to say I'm really partial to the peony die. I love your beautiful cards, can't imagine how many hours it must take to make them. Thanks for the opportunity to win the dies.

Wow! This is beautiful! I think it is so hard to choose a favorite of her dies! I really love the Poppies, Black Eyed Susan and the Dogwood!! They all make gorgeous flowers! Thank you so much for the chance to win a prize :)

The card is wonderful--I am planning to order several flowers and the pan pastels-- WOW!

Pansies are my favorite!

My card club just did a card with the window die. I loved yours. The black eyed susan is a lovely flower. I like all of her flowers, especially the dogwood. The only one that doesn't look just like the real one is the hibiscus. Since I like in Hawaii, I am particular about that one and I feel it looks less "real" than the others.

Oh my word, this is glorious!!!! Look at those petals! How to pick a fav die from Susan? I guess it would be the lily. Anything you touch becomes my favorite!!! And yes, I buy some things twice, too. Don't feel alone.

Hard to pick only one, but I think my favorite is the Pansy/violet. Thanks for the chance and for the inspiration!

I just love the black eyed susan. It is so lifelike and although it is supposed to be yellow other colours look great too. Just love your cards though

It's hard to pick a favorite. You've made so many wonderful cards that I love them all. If I had to pick one I'd say my favorite is the dogwood.

You make all these flowers look so "life-like"! My family likes this because I have created my Christmas Wish List and they know exactly what to get for me. I love all the flowers but if I have to choose one it would be the poppy! Thanks for the opportunity to win some awesome blog candy!

I had to chuckle at the duplicate buying problem. I think we've all been there. LOL As for my favorite die set, it changes frequently. Today I would say the poppy. Your site is a delight to visit. I always look forward to seeing what you've created.

I really don't have a favorite since I love all the flowers, but there is something cheerful about a daisy.
Beautiful card btw. and thanks for the chance for the blog candy!

Beautiful card as always. Thank you for your inspiration and all the details to make your beautiful cards. I love the dogwood, pansy, rose and all the other Susan dies. But if I had to pick, my favorite is pansy. Just received it and can't wait to use it. Thanks for the chance to win the die set.

Dear Kitty,
Thank you for the opportunity to win the rectangle.
I really love your cards, also this one is fabulous. The colors are beautiful and match perfectly. My favourite flower is the poppy and also I do like the roses very much.
Everyday I read your blog and feel sympathy for you after the surgery, but writing in English is difficult for me.
I wish you all the best and I hope you will recover soon.
With kind regards,
Eva van Buuren

What a stunning card Kittie! I'm just crazy over the DP you used! I've been so excited over the release of Susan Tierney's flower dies. I love them all and I can't seem to make up my mind on just one either. My favorite is a toss up between the Dogwood and the Pansy. Thanks for the opportunity!!

I love the way you make all the flowers. But it is a toss-up on which is my favorite die....I'll go with pansy - but that poppy is beautiful!. Thanks for sharing and for the opportunity to win a prize!

it's almost a tie between the Sunflower and the Black-eye Susan, but the Sunflower wins. Just bought the flower making kit with mats and tools so anxious to use it.
Thx so much for inspiring me with your daily creations. They're always beautiful! Watching your tutorials has made me a better crafter.
