Good Saturday morning. I trust you have had a great start to your weekend. I have had lots of fun playing with some of my new Impression Obsession dies. My project today uses Cattails, Tall Grass and Grass Border.
I started by cutting out all the dies using white cardstock, colored them with Copic markers and lightly formed them using my stylus and molding pad from the accessory tool kit.
I sponged in the water and sky background on white cardstock using my color box stylus and foam tip. I cut the frame using my matting basics B. I ran ATG adhesive on the bottom backside of the frame and attached the grass border and cattails. I attached the tall grass with ATG adhesive on the card base. I then lined the frame with strips of mounting tape and attached it over the scene. By attaching the cattails and grass border to the frame before I attached the mounting tape I created a little separation between them and the tall grass which helped create more dimension.
I attached the dragonflies with glossy accents and mini rolled glue dots. Here’s a closer view.
I think this would be a perfect masculine card. I love how the water peeks out in the background.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day.
