Good Tuesday morning. I love making Christmas window cards with a winter view. My project today was made using the Poppystamps Grand Madison Arched window, Impression Obsession Gingham Cover a Card stamp and Pine Branch and the Rubbernecker Three Pine Tree Set.
I started by stamping the gingham background and attaching it to the card base. I used the die cut window as a template and traced lines on the card front to indicate my cutting lines for the open window and cut the opening with my craft knife. I attached the window to the card front with mounting tape.
I cut a piece of white cardstock small enough to fit inside the card, stamped the tree images several times and sponged in a few clouds using my hand cut cloud template and ink blending tool. I attached the scene layer to the inside of the card with mounting tape to create another layer of dimension making the trees appear out in the distance.
I cut several pieces of pine, cut them into smaller sections and attached to the window with glossy accents to create a lovely pine bough decoration. I added a red multi loop bow for the finishing touch.
Here is a side view to show the dimension through the open window.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day.
