Good Sunday morning. My project today is very similar to one I made last week found here using the Memory Box Merry Christmas sentiment die. I loved the contrast of the white die cut letters against the bright red background. I thought a bright pink background would look just as pretty and made with the Happy Holidays die sentiment. Here’s what I came up with.
I die cut the sentiment and attached it to the card base with mounting tape.
I die cut the poinsettia, colored the petals with red Pan Pastel to add depth, formed them using the large stylus and molding pad from the accessory tool kit and assembled using glossy accents. I cut and formed the pine branch and attached to the base with glossy accents. I attached the the poinsettia in place with glossy accents. Check out my poinsettia tutorial if you would like to see step by step photos of how I make my poinsettia here.
I added touches of glossy accents to the flower center and lightly sprinkled it with green flower soft.
Here’s a side view to show the dimension of the flower.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a great week.

I love pink poinsettias and your tutorial was very helpful. Both flowers were slightly different and both lovely. I like the way you added the foliage.

What a beautiful Christmas card. Love that you made it pink and white rather than the traditional green and red. GORGEOUS!

You make such beautiful cards. Your poinsettia cards inspired me to order the Spellbinders die. Hope I can make the flowers look half as nice as yours!
