Kittie Caracciolo (you are here)
My project today was made using Brick House, Square House, Fir Trees, Fir Sprig Set and Fence Border.I love making house cards and was very excited to see the two precious house sets in the new release. I mixed and matched them together to create my winter cottage in the woods. I have been wanting to try my hand at making a bendi fold card for a while and thought the house and trees would be the perfect images to make it with. If you aren’t familiar with this card layout you can see a wonderful step by step tutorial and video over on Splitcoaststampers. I must admit that this was a real challenge for me and is not perfectly put together but I like it and will definitely try it again.
I cut the brick house and square house parts out using white cardstock. I colored the roof line and house base it with a copper copic marker. I assembled all the door, windows, gable, chimney and roof pieces and attached to the house front. I decorated the windows and door with cut up fir sprigs and 1/8” punched circles.
I cut the trees and crimped them for dimension. I attached one behind the house for height and banked one on both sides of the house to create a cozy setting.
I attached the fence to the left side of the bendi flap and made it meet the fixed piece of fence on the right side when closed. I placed fir sprigs and tiny red bows on the fence for the finishing touch. I wouldn’t mind living in this sweet cozy cottage.
Be sure to check out all of the wonderful design team projects. I hope you have a great day.
