Good Friday morning. Splitcoaststampers holds an annual month long challenge each October called “Hope You Can Cling To” to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness month. My project today was made for my good friend Bev’s, aka TexasGrammy, Pocket Full of Hope Challenge to make a pocket card. I checked out the pocket card tutorials on Splitcoaststampers and revisited a Flower Pot Pocket Card that was introduced several years ago in a Technique Lovers Challenge. Here’s what I came up with.
I followed the instructions on the tutorial to cut, score and fold to create the little flower pot pocket. It is so easy and yet so cute for such little effort. I cut the tag layer, stamped my sentiment and attached to the green layer. I formed and attached the foliage on the top of the tag with glossy accents. I formed the three roses and attached them with glossy accents over the foliage. I finished by adding a few smaller pieces of foliage around the flowers to soften.
The sentiment says “If I had a flower for every time I thought of you I could walk in my garden forever”. I thought it was such a fitting sentiment for the sweet flower pot card.

You can check out the tutorial here if you would like to get the instructions for making this Flower Pot Pocket Card. Splitcoaststampers has a fantastic Tutorial and Resource section with step by step photos and videos of more techniques than you can imagine. You can find that here. I have learned everything I know about paper crafting from the wonderful Splitcoaststampers community. If you are a member then you know exactly what I mean. If you aren’t familiar with this site then you need to hop on over and see what you have been missing.
I hope you will come by tomorrow and check out the challenge I am hosting for the Hope You Can Cling To challenges. Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a great weekend.
