Good Wednesday morning. I stepped a little out of my scene and flower “box” today to create a fun project using the Impression Obsession Pocket Watch die set and It’s About Time stamp set.
I started by cutting the watch and buckle and hand cutting the watch bands out of a gold foil sheet. I embossed the bands to give them the appearance of a gold mesh. I attached the buckle to the band and attached the bands to the watch to complete the assembly.
I creating the background by stamping watch faces multiple times with versa and embossing with gold embossing powder. I wanted to keep track of where I stamped the images and not over stamp too much so I did this in stages until I was happy with the background. I attached the sentiment to the frame base and then attached the watch with mounting tape and rolled glue dots. I love how the band is slightly curved to add dimension and interest.
Here’s a closer view. You can click on the photos to see an even larger view.
OK. Does the watch look real? I sure think so. What a fun set to play with.
Check out my article over at Ellen Hutson In Touch post if you would like to see a step by step tutorial on how I made this fall leaf project using PanPastel.
I hope you have a great day and I sure appreciate you dropping by.

Hey, Florida Friend! I wish I could come and take a class with you. Where are you located in FL?
I just love to see what you have done with IO dies. I prefer to see what you have done rather than browsing their site.
Great job!
