Good Monday morning. Well we are back to work after our lovely four day holiday weekend and the countdown is on to tackle the Christmas rush. I thought I would share two fun holiday cards that would be fast and easy to mass produce to send to your family and friends and that fit easily into A2 sized envelopes for mailing. Both cards are 5.50” by 4.25”.
I cut the Memory Box Grand Happy Holidays sentiment layer and mounted on the card base with mounting tape. This adds a touch of dimension and interest without adding too much bulk.
I attached the Memory Box Holly Vine to the sentiment layer with a few rolled up glue dots. This allows the vine to stand a tiny bit away from the base but is still flat enough to fit in an envelope.
My red gingham multi loop bow will not be harmed being placed in an envelope but if you are worried you could easily add a single loop bow and still add the extra pop of color against the white.
I kept the same color combination for this card but thought the Memory Box Evergreen Landscape would show up beautifully on the red popped up sentiment layer.
I cut the trees, used them as a template to draw the ground line on a white strip of cardstock, cut it with deckle scissors, crimped with my wave crimper and attached to the tree layer. I attached the trees to the card base with mounting tape and finished by adding the star from the Impression Obsession Bare Christmas Tree set and lightly painting the top of each tree with pure white watercolor paint.
I love how both of these cards turned out. Honestly each card took about 10 minutes to assemble. You could easily create the same type of card with the Memory Box Grand Merry Christmas. I bet if you started searching through your Christmas stash you could find lots of other border dies that would work beautifully as well. Some that come to mind are the Frostyville Border, Frosty Border, Country Landscape, Cottage in the Woods, Pine Tree Border.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great week.

The card with the trees is my favourite! Thanks for the tip on the creating the snow line on the bottom. The star and the watercolour paint snow on the trees are perfect embellishments for the trees and make the cards pop. Thank you for sharing.
