Good Thursday morning and welcome to the Impression Obsession design team “Inspired by a Quote” challenge. My project today was made using the Large Snowflake, Small Snowflake Set, Small Deer and Fir Tree Border.
I started by creating the fir tree background and snowy ground layers and attached them with ATG adhesive to the designer paper card base. I die cut the large snowflake and created a frame using the negative and attached it over the scenery. I used a double layer of mounting tape all the way around the frame to make it stand away from the scene for dimension.
I cut the deer using kraft cardstock and colored them using a Sofft mini applicator and vintage photo ink. I attached the deer to the frame using mounting tape. I cut a couple sets of the small snowflakes and attached them on the frame and around the deer using rolled glue dots.
Here’s a close side view so you can see the dimension of the scene. Don’t you think the snowflake negative makes a wonderful frame for the wintery scene?
Why don’t you come along and play with us. To enter the challenge go to the Impression Obsession Blog (all the details are there!). A random challenge card will be selected to showcase on the IO blog and you can to enter to win a $25 gift certificate to IO just by playing!
I hope you will go check out what the other IO teams members created for the challenge. Thanks for coming by today.
