Good Thursday morning. I have another Large Snowflake frame project to share with you today, I created a scene very similar last week with deer as the main focal point. I thought the small cottages from the Tiny Village set would be sweet tucked in to the snowy hills surrounded by the trees from the Fir Tree Border. The stars seemed perfect to added to the scene and the center of the Small Snowflake set embellishments.
I cut the snowflake for the frame using a 5” square piece of cardstock. I hand cut two layers of ground snow with my deckle scissors and crimped with my wave crimper. I cut the fir tree border twice, cut them apart and attached to the ground snow layers. I attached the snow layers to the back of the frame, applied a double layer of mounting tape to the back of the frame and attached to the card base.
I cut the houses and tucked them into the scene attaching with small pieces of mounting tape. I cut the snowflake set twice, double layered them and attached them to the frame with glossy accents. I cut stars from a retired Cuttlebug die and attached them to the scene and star centers. I applied yellow stickles to the stars for an element of sparkle and lightly applied white watercolor paint to the trees and house tops to finish.
Here’s a close view. You can click on any of the pictures to get an even larger view.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day.

WoW, Kittie, this is amazing!!!! I am now looking at snowflake dies and diecuts differently. I don't have snowflake dies but I do have a cricut and lots of cartridges, so I will try the snowflake cut out with those. But, someday I will buy snowflake dies so that I can make these cards more easily. I didn't know about the mini village dies, I wish I had those, so many possibilities, they are going on my list. Thank you for sharing this amazingly, beautiful, inspiring card.
