Good Wednesday morning. I have another white on white scene to share with you today. It amazes me how such small pops of color makes such a big statement against the white. I used the Memory Box Orchard Tree Frame and Debutante Frame paired with the Savvy Stamps Birdhouse , the cardinals from the Impression Obsession Birch Trees set and Fir Sprig Set.
I started by cutting the tree frame and cutting one full debutante frame and two smaller sections of the bottom of the debutante frame to use as the ground snow, I attached mounting tape to the back of the tree frame and attached it to the background frame. I attached the whole assembled frame to the card base with another layer of mounting tape for added dimension. I ran the ground pieces through the crimper and attached to the frame with ATG adhesive. I love my ATG. Do you have one? If not…………you need one.
I cut the birdhouse, cut off the post and altered it with small strips of cardstock on the roof and base. I wanted it to look more substantial since it was white against white. I used pieces of the sprigs to decorate the house and added a few 1/8 inch punched red circles for the touch of red. I tucked a few sprigs in behind the snow layers for an additional pop of color. I used my black soot distress marker to color the beaks of the cardinals and attached them to the scene with small pieces of mounting tape.
I used a small brush to paint undiluted white watercolor paint to the tips of all the sprigs for a touch of snow.
I put a little red stickles on the red circles to make them sparkle but you can’t really see it in the photo. I couldn’t resist adding close up photos of the birdhouse, cardinal and snowy sprigs of foliage. I don’t know why I have gone so crazy about white on white this holiday season. I just love doing them and how they turn out.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day.

WOW!!!!! Kittie your cards are more beautiful each day. Love this card, it reminds me of my son and daughter in loves' garden, with all the birds visiting the feeders. Of course you know the cardinal is my favourite Christmas/winter bird. Thank you for sharing this inspiring card tutorial.
