Good Saturday morning. I have a floral project to share with you today made using Dee’s Distinctively Bell Floral 2 set paired with the Floral Leaf Set 4 and Bell Floral Stem 1 and framed using the Sizzix Ornate Oval over the embossed layer made using the Corners and Lattice set.
I started by cutting out the frame, bell flowers, stems and leaves. I embossed the white background layer and attached to the card base. I attached the frame with mounting tape. The bell flowers were cut using white cardstock and I colored them with violet 470.5 PanPastel and a mini applicator. I formed them lightly with my stylus and molding pad. Although the leaves are already scored I scored lightly with the leaf tool on the leaf pad to add dimension.
I attached the bell flowers and leaves to the stems with Crafter’s Pick glue alternating to create a natural looking stem of flowers. I really love how soft and flowing the flowers look. I attached the arrangement to the card base with mounting tape and finished with a multi loop bow. Here’s a closer look.
The flower colors is deeper than the frame and at first it troubled me a little but the more I look at it the better I like it. These flowers just scream old-fashioned vintage to me.
I did it again! I opened my brand new order from Ellen’s this morning and realized I accidentally ordered two of the new Poppystamps Bailiwick Background. I’m sure Ellen would let me return it but I think it is lots more fun to share with you. Leave me a comment by Thursday, Jan 16 at 5:00 pm to qualify for a random drawing. Good luck!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
Your bellflower card is just beautiful Kittie! Thank you for being generous and giving away your extra die - I thought it was just me who bought two of something I like by mistake!
