Good Tuesday morning. I have another clean and simple project to share with you today in red and green against a pure white background. This is one of my favorite color combinations and is perfect for Valentines as well. For my project is used the Impression Obsession Heart Flourish, Spiral Flowers, Leaf Cluster and Sizzix Corners and Lattice embossing folder set.
I started by applying several pieces of mounting tape to the back of the flourish and attaching to the card base. I cut and rolled several of the tiny roses using the smallest die in the Spiral Flowers set. I created the larger rose for the center by attaching three flowers from the set together rolled in graduated size. I cut several leaves from the Leaf Cluster set and formed them with my stylus and molding pad.
I attached the large rose to the center of the heart using mounting tape. I wanted the whole center flower to cover the heart because I wanted to show that this flourish can easily be transformed and used for non Valentine projects. It is such an elegant flourish and one of my favorites.
I attached the smaller leaves from the set to the flourish with glossy accents. I then attached the tiny roses over top of the leaves. I love how it looks like trailing roses. I think the simplicity of the embossed white background is perfect to add dimension and interest to the piece while still allowing the flower arrangement to be the main focal point.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day.

As always, such a gorgeous card. This flourish die is absolutely my favorite from the IO new release. It's so swirly and delicate. I love how you covered the heart to show that it could be used for more than just Valentine's Day or "love" cards. You ladies who share so much inspiration have definitely taught me to look at my dies and punches differently and see more than the obvious.

This card is gorgeous. I love the rose covering the heart in the flourish. I really like the flourish, but I am not a heart person, so this card is perfect for me. Now, why didn't I think of it. Thank you for sharing a different way to look at a "seasonal" die, I love to get extra, out of the ordinary creative use from my dies. Now, I will be looking at this beautiful flourish die in a totally different way and it is going on my list. Because I love flourishes!
