Good Monday morning. I made the frame q while back for another project but ended up not using it. I thought it was the perfect size to frame a garden scene featuring the new Memory Box Peter Cottontail die. I created the garden around Peter using the My Favorite Things Leafy Greenery set, the tiny flowers from the Impression Obsession Hydrangea Set and Small Grass Border and the Memory Box Butterfly Delights set. The frame was made using the Nesting Card Templates and All-in-One Frames Rectangles 2.
I started by coloring the bunny using Antique Linen, Vintage Photo and Gathered Twigs distress inks and mini applicators. Check out my coloring die cut animals tutorial if you would like to see a few step by step photos of how I colored Peter. TI attached the white scalloped frame over top of the opening of the green gram with double stick tape. I attached the grass border to the back of the frame using double stick tape, attached thin strips of mounting tape all the way around the back of the frame and then attached it to the card base.
I applied a double layer of mounting tape to the back of Peter and placed him in behind the grass and attached to the card base. I cut all of the greenery pieces in the set and tucked them in behind the grass border with glossy accents and filled in all around the bunny. Have you checked out the new MFT Leafy Greenery? If you like making floral projects on your cards you will definitely want to get this set. All the different pieces reminds me of the foliage my mother used in her flower shop. It’s a great set to have and the foliage is the perfect size for flower arrangements on card fronts.
I formed the little colorful hydrangea flowers, assembled them with glossy accents and attached them all around the scene using glossy accents. I cut the butterflies in the same colors as the flowers and attached them around the scene with glossy accents.
Here’s a closer view to show the dimension and the tiny flowers. The tiny single hydrangea flowers are just as cute standing alone as they are assembled in mass hydrangea flower.
Thanks for coming by today and I hope you have a great week.
