Good Thursday morning. My project today was made for the Splitcoaststampers Ways To Use It Challenge. The challenge today was to create a card based on inspiration found in our home. It’s easy to be inspired by my three cats and my new baby puppy. I must like black and white animals because that is the main theme in my house now. So I created a cat scene with three white cats with black spots and tails.
I have always loved cats and dogs and feel like my home would not feel like home to me without them.
Toby 9 years old and Cassie 15 years old
Sophie 9 years old
We got Cody when he was eight weeks and have had him for almost a month. I promised myself that I would get a puppy when I retired and could be home to be a good mom and train him properly. He is an absolute joy and a monster all tied up into one precious companion. He’s lots of work but I know it is worth it. And by the way…..my cats are actually tolerating him…..pretty well. LOL!
I attached the grass and tree to the back of the frame using double stick tape. I sponged on a blue sky background on the bard base and then attached the whole frame over it with thin strips of mounting tape. I used my stylus and molding pad to form the tiny flowers and attached them to the tree using glossy accents.
I colored the cats using a black Copic marker and attached them in the scene using pieces of mounting tape. The birds were attached to the tree using tiny pieces of mounting tape.
I hope you don’t mind me sharing my pet pictures since they were the inspiration for my card today. I hope you are enjoying your week and I’m sure you are looking forward to the weekend. Happily for me I don’t have to go to work any more so every day feels like a weekend day.
Card size: 5.50” x 4.25”

Your cats are adorable and hence so is the card!!! I have 3 cats and now only 1 dog. We had to have our 14 year old lab put down one month ago today. The card is so cute, and I love how you made the cats look like your own cats. Great cards as usual.

I have NO PROBLEM, Kittie with your sharing your pets! THEY'RE ADORABLE!!!! LOL We TOTALLY UNDERSTAND cat & dog get-a-longs! LOL We have FOUR kitties! Black & white is a theme here too, but we also have ONE little kitty that is grey. They're ALL related from Grandma to sons, to grand-daughter. ;) Anyway, your card is a WONDERFUL SCENE! It is PERFECT!!! ;)

Cute card and seems to fit your home to a T. The new puppy is adorable and love the color of the cats. But after having 1 cat and 1 dog, can't imagine the hair you must have to sweep up daily. Feel sorry for you that way, but know they are a joy to have. Edna

Oh is that ever cute and love that you did the cats like yours :) Your little Cody is just the cutest ever. I am torn ever since losing both our cats and dog, don't know if I am ready to go through all the work of a puppy or not.

Your card is wonderful! I love seeing the pics of your fur babies, your black and white cats remind me of my wonderful TC that went across the Rainbow Bridge many years ago at the ripe age of 17. Aren't puppies just lovable little terrors? We have two 7 year old border collies and I swear it's like having 4 year olds around all the time. Love your work! Congrats on retirement!
