Good Thursday morning and welcome to the Impression Obsession “Falling Leaves” design team challenge. I like making fall cards and today’s challenge theme gave me the perfect opportunity to create a colorful leaf wreath and front door scene. I used the Distressed Brick Cover-a-Card Stamp, Front Door, Oak Leaves and Rake, Wide Tree, Small Grass Border and Pumpkin Patch.
I secured the brick stamp and Kraft cardstock in my MISTI, applied white pigment ink and stamped. I heat embossed using white embossing powder. I cut the door section twice and attached the door frame portion and door panels of the second one over the first to add dimension and attached them using double stick tape. I applied strips of mounting tape to the back of the door and attached it to the card base. I cut a couple Wide Tree sections and applied Vintage Photo ink directly on the branches with the ink pad. I cut the branches apart to use for my leaf arrangement. I cut the leaves using white cardstock and colored the them using mini applicators and Wild Honey, Fired Brick and Peeled Paint inks.
I applied glossy accents to the tips of the branches and attached the leaves. I attached the branches to the door using glossy accents and then attached the multi loop bow using glue dots. I attached the grass sections using thin strips of mounting tape. I tucked a few branches with leaves and pumpkins in behind the grass sections and attached with glossy accents. I added a black door knob using Ebony Nuvo Crystal Drops.
