Good Friday morning. My project today was made for the Splitcoaststampers Way To Use It challenge to create a single layer card. This was lots of fun and took me back to when I created stamped outdoor scenes on almost every card I made. It is odd how interests keep changing and I have become addicted to creating die cut scenes and paper flowers.
I started by sponging in the sky area using my hand cut cloud template and an ink blending tool and stopped at the point that I wanted the top of my picket fence to be. I used the picket fence die cut as a mask and sponged blue over it to create the fence in white negative space. I stamped the tree from the Impression Obsession Solid Tree set and lightly brushed reinker on the trunk with my waterbrush to smooth the color. I stamped the leaves in both shabby shutters and peeled paint and lightly sponged yellow ink over top to create a highlight.
I used a dry brush run directly over the ink pad to lightly stipple apply antique linen to the fence sections to create dimension and texture. I used the same technique to stipple peeled paint up around the bottom of the fence. I used a Color Box stylus and foam tip to apply peeled paint to the ground area and filled in the grass and added foliage and flowers to the fence using the mini fern stamp from my Kittie Kits Outdoor Master.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
