Fast and Easy Tags

Good Sunday morning. I have some fast and easy tags to share with you today. I love how crisp white images look against a red background for Christmas projects. The addition of a multi loop gingham bow and a few evergreen sprigs are the perfect finish. I used the Impression Obsession Skates, Ornament Flourish and the Savvy Dies Deer and Sleigh for the main images, the Martha Stewart Branch Punch and the Poppystamps Pinpoint Main Street Tags for the tag base.

The white images were attached to the tag base with mounting tape.

I tied a multi loop bow for each tag and attached with glue dots. The green branches were tucked in around the bow and attached with glossy accents. I use my paper piercer to push/scoot the tip end of the branches in under the bow. That also helps the branch stand up a little instead of laying flat.

I hand cut pieces of green and white cardstock to make the packages for the sleigh. I trimmed a super thin strip of red cardstock with my Tonic trimmer and attached it to the packages for ribbon, I ran the strip of cardstock across my finger to soften and gently formed the tiny package bow and attached it with glossy accents.

I think these are so cute. Not much time involved and yet make much more of a statement on a package than a plain tag. The set would also be a great little gift.

In The Meadow Tags

Good Saturday morning. I have another grouping of tags to share with you today. I am going to make a couple sets of these to give as a gift. This is the first time I have pulled out the Savvy Woodland Meadow set this holiday season. The precious little images are perfect to make mini tags. I made the larger house tag using the tree and deer and paired them with one of the houses from the Impression Obsession Town Builder set. The stars were made using the Impression Obsession Sun and Moon set.The tags were made using the Poppystamps Pinpoint Main Street Tags.

I cut cut the three tags and cut a second set of each to use to cut the snow ground layer using my deckle scissors. I attached the snow layers to the tags with thin strips of mounting tape.

The house was cut once in red and again in white. I cut the white roof off and attached it over top of the red with glossy accents. I attached a little bit of green evergreen sprigs and red punched circles to create a little decoration for the roof top. I attached the house and trees in behind the snow layer using rolled mini glue dots. The deer was cut from Kraft cardstock, sponged lightly with vintage photo ink using a mini applicator and attached to the front of the snow layer with mounting tape.

The little snowman was cut in white and I colored the stick arms using a brown marker. I hand cut his little hat and attached to his head with glossy accents. The little scarf was attached using glue dots. I just had to add a little evergreen and punched berry to his hat.

I punched out a 1/16” circle and attached to the deer’s nose to give him the Rudolph look. He was tucked in behind the snow layer along with the two trees. I added a star to one tree on each tag and applied yellow stickles to add touch of sparkle. I had several leftover punched snowflakes on my desk and decided it would look cute to add one to each tag.

Cheery Spring Scene

Good Wednesday morning. My project today is a cheery and colorful scene with lots of spring flowers, butterflies, birds and a sweet birdhouse. This is my way of reminding those of you who are covered up with snow that spring is just around the corner.

I started by cutting the Bare Branch from kraft paper and applying brown ink using my Color Box stylus and foam tip. I used the Leaf Canopy to cut the tiny leaves in green and picked them up with my QuickStik and applied them to the branches using glossy accents. I cut the pink flowers using the Flower Mound, formed them with my tiny tipped stylus and molding pad and attached them to the branch and leaves.

I cut the Picket Fence in white and both the Grass Border and Small Grass Border in green. I attached flowers to the tall grass with glossy accents and then attached it to the front of the fence with ATG adhesive. I applied thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the small grass border and attached to the fence.

I cut the Birdhouse in white and colored the roof and post with a brown Copic marker. I attached tiny springs of foliage and tiny flowers to the roof and door opening.

Now that I had all of the different parts assembled I began creating the scene. I applied mounting tape along the bottom of the fence and a few tiny strips on a few of the pickets and attached to the card base. I tucked the tree in behind the fence and attached at the trunk with tiny strips of mounting tape. I attached the Puffy Clouds behind the tree branches and then attached the top branches to the clouds and card base with rolled glue dots. I attached the birdhouse in front of the fence with mounting tape and added a few birds and butterflies for the finishing touch. I really love how sweet this scene is. Has anyone ever seen bright pink birds? LOL! Let’s just say anything can happen in a whimsical scene.

Christmas Eve Window and Birdhouse

Merry Christmas Eve. I hope you are enjoying your day and having a good time with family and friends and preparing for Christmas. My husband will be off work tomorrow and that is a Christmas present in itself. I am tackling making my first standing rib roast for tomorrow’s dinner so keep your fingers crossed for me. I have made many beef roasts in my years of cooking but never one that I almost had to mortgage my house for. LOL! I did a Google search for recipes and loved Paula Deen’s fool proof recipe because it looked so simple and easy. Any and all suggestions welcome. Smile

My project today is one of my all time favorite kind of cards to make. I love windows, birdhouses and snow and they came together to create a wonderful holiday greeting. Living in Florida (it was 80 degrees here yesterday) never allows for a white Christmas so I enjoy them through my childhood memories and my card making.

I started by cutting strips of cardstock to attach to the card base to create the siding. I used the window as a template to draw the cutting lines for the window opening and cut it out with my craft knife. I attached the outside window to the card front with mounting tape. I attached the drapes and valance to the inside opening of the window and then attached a window over top of it to cover the rough cut and finish the card.

I cut the birdhouse to use as a template and covered it with tiny strips of cardstock to match the siding on the house and punched the opening with my 1/8” circle punch. I cut a second birdhouse and a hand cut roof using kraft cardstock and colored them with my mini applicator and brown ink. I cut the fence, cut a snowy strip of cardstock to the front base and attached the fence under the window with a double layer of mounting tape. I attached the birdhouse to the scene with mounting tape. I decorated the window top with fir sprigs and added a red bow for a pop of color. I decorated birdhouse to match the window and then covered them both with glossy accents and flower soft. I love how it softens the scene. I love how the red cardinals pop against the white and green.

Here’s a closer view of the birdhouse. I think it is so cute.

I applied glossy accents to the bottom of the window, fence and ground area and covered with flower soft. I love that stuff.

Mini Scene Christmas Tags

Good Sunday morning. I have had such a fun week making Christmas tags and I couldn’t resist making a group of mini scene tags. The Impression Obsession Mini Rectangle Tag is only 1.25” x .75” so the images need to be teeny tiny but aren’t they so cute!
