Merry Christmas! I am sharing some of my favorite projects that I made for this holiday season. Bob and I wish you a blessed Christmas with your family and friends.
Good Tuesday morning. I have a Bendi Frame project to share with you today. I love adding dimension to my card fronts and a curved frame allows me to bring the elements of my scene out away from the card base just a bit further than a frame secured on all four sides. You can see my Bendi Frame step by step pictures and a video tutorial over at Splitcoaststampers.
I cut the frame 5 5/8” wide by 4 1/2”, 1/8” wider than the 5 1/2” wide card base. I know it may not seem like just 1/8” would create much of a curve but it does. I cut three 5 inch wide snow layers using my deckle scissors. I wanted the snow layers to fit on the card base and allow enough space on both sides to mount the frame flat to the base and not overlapping the layers. The tallest one was attached flat to the card base with ATG adhesive. I applied thin strips of mounting tape to the ends of the second strip, attached the left side, curved the strip slightly and then attached the right side. I attached the third strip directly to the back of the frame with ATG adhesive and then attached thin strips of mounting tape to the sides only. I carefully attached the left side of the frame to the card base. I curved the frame out slightly and carefully lined up the right side of the frame to the card base and attached. If this is as clear as mud hop on over to see my pictures and video and it will make more sense.
Once the frame was attached it was smooth sailing from there. I cut all the tree sections of the 5 Part Pine, and the Mama and Baby Deer and Valley Deer Trio and began assembling. The fun thing about the pine set is that you can make several different sized trees. I assembled the tree sections with glue dots and mounting tape. I wanted the sections to have separation for a natural look. I attached the two back trees to the card base with mounting tape. The two smaller trees were attached to the center curved snow section with mounting tape. I love how they stand out away from the back trees. After the trees were in placed I played around with where I wanted to place the deer. I finally settled on two in the back between the trees and attached one directly to the card base with mounting tape and the second was attached directly to the back deer with another layer of mounting tape. I attached one to on the left side of the scene to make him look like he was scampering out of the frame. I attached glue dots to the front of the mother deer’s feet and attached her to the backside of the snow layer. I tucked the baby deer’s feet in between the frame and snow layer and attached it with mounting tape. I punched out a few snowflakes from my Martha Stewart PATP punch and attached a few around the scene with glossy accents to add interest. I added tiny sprigs of fir to the neck of both the mother and baby just to make them a little more visible against all the white background because I knew they would be hard to make show well in my photographs.
Here’s a close up side view to show the layers and dimension.
I sure appreciate you coming by and I hope you have a great day.

Good Wednesday morning. It’s Holiday Blitz week over at Splitcoaststampers offering a whole week of fun holiday projects and tutorials. I am the guest tutorial author today and am sharing a video showing how I make my evergreen wreaths. My project today is a wreath embellished with a tiny holiday village made using the Impression Obsession Town Builder die set and the Martha Stewart Branch Punch. The background was made using the My Mind’s Eye Cozy Christmas paper.
You can check out my step by step photos and video tutorial to see how I assembled the wreath. When I was finished adding all the green branches I added a few white ones here and there to make it look snow covered.
I cut all the little houses in red and again in white. I cut the roof sections off the white and attached them to the red houses using glossy accents. I tucked the houses in between the branches and attached with glossy accents. I added the bright red multi loop bow for the finishing touch.
I hope you will check out my tutorial to see how easy this wreath was to make. You can find links to other wonderful Holiday Blitz tutorials on the SCS homepage and tutorial page. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day.

The Challenge this month is Circles.
I love scallops and just couldn’t resist the new Memory Box Pinpoint Scalloped Circles. I thought it would be perfect to use for our circles challenge. I paired it with the Impression Obsession Spring Wreath set, Fancy Cut Border and the Nesting Circles. If you take a close look at the intricate background you will see lots and lots of circles.
I placed the white cardstock on my magnet platform and placed the Fancy Cut Border face down, lined it up on the edge of the paper and cut. I repeated these steps two more times to create the full page die cut background. I applied thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the background and attached to the card base. I cut the scalloped circle and then cut the frame opening. I cut a smaller frame to attach to the back for a double matted frame. I attached the scalloped frame to a piece of white cardstock with mounting tape and then attached the completed frame to the card base with ATG adhesive.
I cut the wreath once and cut the large and small flowers twice. The wreath was just a little too large to fit inside the framed circle so I cut it apart into several smaller sections. I attached a flower to the top portion of five of the cut stems and let them dry for a moment. Eliminating a few of the cut wreath sections allowed me to fit five of the flower and stem sections perfectly inside the frame. I applied glossy accents to the cut end of the first stem and attached to the inside frame base. The flower was left loose so I could lift it up to tuck the cut end of the next stem under it. I repeated this step four more times until all of the stem sections were attached. Then I went back and secured each loose flower head with glossy accents.
I applied a pearl in the center of each of the larger flowers and then added a few smaller flowers for the finishing touch.
